Protection against humidity is required and mandatory in order to maintain the heating value of the product. Hi-Way Concrete stores all pellets inside. We offer a delivery service and drive through pickup service.

PREMIUM GRADE RESIDENTIAL PELLETS
Energex manufactures premium grade wood pellet fuel for use in residential pellet stoves and residential furnaces and boilers. These pellets are designed also to work well in woodstoves and fireplaces fitted with the Prometheus Pellet Fuel Basket.

Energex Residential Pellets exceed the Pellet Fuel Institute's premium grade standard. Our softwood pellets are designed to burn hotter and have been tested to yield a BTU value averaging between 8300 to 8500 BTUs per pound (on a dry basis). Their average ash content is about 0.5% and moisture content is 5% to 6%. There are no sulfur emissions from the pellet fuel.

Energex manufactures hardwood and softwood varieties of pellets. Both types of pellets are made from clean sawdust that is free of additives and bark.

The pellets are packaged in sealed 20 pound and 40 pound plastic bags and palletized with a plastic "hood" leaving a tight, weather resistant product.




	AVERAGE 9,000 BTUs/LB. Most others average 8,000 to 8,500 BTUs. With a higher BTU, you burn less fuel for the same heat output. AVERAGE ASH 0.5% Approximately 3 ounces from 40lb. bag. Premium standard is less than 1%. NO ADDITIVES OR BARK Energex Residential Pellets are made from 100% natural wood sawdust with no bark and no additives. Other pellet manufacturers use plastic or oil additives.	HIGHER BTU SOFTWOOD This is the opposite of the conventional wisdom of cordwood. Wood pellets, whether made from hard or soft wood, have approximately the same density therefore similar burn times. Softwood pellets have the added benefit of clean burning resins that ignite for the higher BTU value. THICK TEAR-RESISTANT BAG 14% thicker than most. With Energex, the fuel stays in the bag until you are ready to use it. CONSISTENT, SHORTER LENGTH Consistent short length gives a more consistent feed, flame, and heat output. LESS AUGER NOISE AND JAMS Shorter, auger-friendly pellets mean less noise when pellets fall into the burn pot, fewer jams in the auger, and less grinding noise. FEWER FINES/LESS DUST With our superior packaging process, fines average 0.5 ounces per 40 lb. bag, nearly 80% below the industry standard.
